• The Lennon Sisters Now: The 5 Singers Have Changed with Age Yet Still Sound ‘Young’ & 4 of Them Have Big Families

    • Sixty-eight years have passed since The Lennon Sisters’ dynamic voices were discovered worldwide.
    • The sisters are still alive, between the ages of 67 and 83, married, and remain closer than ever. and Two of them have grandchildren, and three still perform today, amazing fans with their well-preserved voices.
    • Here is a look inside their lives today.

The Lennon Sisters are most likely America’s longest-standing singing girl group that emerged in the 1950s. The insanely talented group of sisters come from a Catholic musical family of eleven children and have been singing since childhood.

The sisters are Californians, born in Venice. Though not all eleven siblings had an affinity for the show business industry, the quartet of older sisters—Dianne (DeeDee), Peggy, Kathy, and Janet Lennon—always enjoyed harmonizing and singing.

Lawrence Welk Jr., the son of American artist and host Lawrence Welk, discovered the quartet. The eldest Lennon sister, Dianne, had gone to school with Welk Jr., and the pair had started dating.

One day after school, Welk Jr. brought the sisters home to his dad to perform for him. Welk Sr. was impressed by their talent, leading him to invite them to appear on his show, “The Lawrence Welk Show.”

In 1955, the band appeared on the show’s Christmas Eve TV broadcast, captivating the audience with their acapella rendition of “He.” The quartet quickly gained popularity and recognition for their musical prowess.

The girls were still young at the time they got their start in the industry. The youngest sisters, Kathy and Janet, recalled they were only twelve and nine, respectively.

The performers started as child stars, but their childhood was never compromised. One of the youngest of the group, Janet, reports that the sisters had a wonderful childhood they wouldn’t mind reliving the experiences again.

The Lennon Sisters were raised in a loving, stable, and secure environment that prioritized the importance of responsibilities and household duties. The second youngest sister of the group, Kathy, shared a glimpse into what their day-to-day would look like after they were done performing:

“Mom and Dad made it such a normal childhood even though we were doing…shows and a weekly television show every Saturday night for 13 years, and then our own shows. We would sing and then go home and do dishes and change younger siblings’ diapers and do our homework and go to regular school.”

The songstresses’ musical talents became hugely sought after, and in 1994, upon Welk Jr.’s request, the sisters began to feature as recurring acts in “The Lawrence Welk Show” and quickly became the program’s stars.

The show was taped in Branson, Missouri, where Welk Jr. had built a resort center and theater. The sisters continued performing even after they all got engaged and married.

In 1968, the angelic-sounding artists posed in bridal gowns for one of TV Radio Mirror magazine’s covers. The article featured a story about which of the sisters had the “happiest” married life. It also gave insight into which one of them had the most challenging time adjusting to married life.

The four sisters looked stunning in their uniquely designed wedding dresses which were all white. Veils and tiaras accompanied all the gowns, and all four sisters looked happy in the photos.

The sister singing group remained closer than ever after they had all married. They kept their sibling bond and their families close while they carried on performing.

They also prided themselves on humility and leading lives rooted in normality, reality, and gratitude. The second eldest sister, Peggy, disclosed that she and her sisters were always taught the importance of grounding themselves and upholding family values over being charmed by fame:

“We were family, not TV people. When we got married, people sent us wedding presents.”

Despite forming their own families after getting married, the sisters still lived close to one another in Los Angeles—approximately 15 minutes apart. Even as showbiz working moms, they diligently ensured their families were well cared for.

Monetary-wise, the siblings are responsible when it comes to their spending habits. They claim they go through the same challenges that any other mother in the U.S. does, and their older sister, Peggy, attests to this:

“None of us has a lot of money in our savings, even though we’ve worked for 26 years. The responsibility of being mothers is much more important than stashing away a million bucks. In a sense, we’re struggling away just like any other mother in the U.S.”

The group now performs as a trio of sisters comprising original members Kathy and Janet and their other sister, Mimi, who replaced Peggy when she retired in 1999. Diane followed suit and retired in 2001.

In 1987, The Lennon Sisters were awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for their contributions to the television industry. The group was also inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001.

The sisters have remained steadfast confidantes, supporting each other through the storms they have encountered. One of their most significant hardships was the untimely and tragic death of their father, William Herbert Lennon. He was murdered by a deranged fan and stalker who mistakenly believed he was married to one of the sisters.

Though the family endured an incredibly challenging time during this period, the siblings persevered through strength, faith, and unity. Regarding the tragic event, Kathy Lennon expressed the following sentiment:

“The tragedy changed all of our lives, yet we came out knowing we had each other. We had [our] Mom, and we were blessed together.”

As mentioned, all the Lennon sisters are married, with some having children. Additionally, two of the sisters are now grandmothers. In 1966, Janet married Lee Bernhardi and had three children. However, they divorced in 1976, after which Janet went on to marry John Bahler.

Kathy tied the knot with her first husband, Mahlon Clark, in 1967. However, they divorced in 1981. The following year, she married James Daris.

Before joining The Lennon Sisters, Mimi organized the group’s fan mail. She is a mother of two children, whom she shares with her spouse, Daniel Macias. Mimi and Daniel exchanged vows in 1977 and have since become proud grandparents of four grandchildren.

    What Happened to Peggy Lennon?

Though The Lennon Sisters were idolized, favored, and adored by many across the globe, fans still had a favorite Lennon sister, and that sister was Peggy. Many still love her immensely, despite her retirement from the musical group.

In a nostalgic throwback photo of the singing legend, an outpouring of comments expressed fans’ deep admiration and love for the sister group. Several commentators mentioned that the artist had been a cherished favorite of theirs since the band’s early formation.

Before Peggy married Bob Felt, she was married to Dick Cathcart for 30 years until he passed away from cancer in 1993. In 1995, she married Felt, a doctor.

After retiring from the singing group, Peggy relocated from Branson to be closer to her husband, as his medical practice was based in Los Angeles then. Reflecting on her performance days, she shared how they fell in love:

“After Bob went home to Los Angeles, we talked on the phone, and eventually, we fell in love – long-distance. [After we got married] Bob had his practice in Los Angeles, and I had my work at the Champagne Theater, so for four crazy years, every two months, Bob came to visit me for a week.”

After losing Cathcart and finding love again with Felt, Peggy became blissfully happy being a wife again and enjoyed solidifying her close relationship with her daughter, Julianne Mary Cathcart, born during her previous marriage. Currently, Peggy enjoys carrying out her grandmotherly duties. She performs occasionally, often accompanied by her son, Michael Cathcart.

Dianne “Dee Dee” Lennon Faced the Biggest Challenge of Her Life

After Peggy’s retirement, Mimi stepped in to replace her. Meanwhile, eldest sister Dianne, who had been battling cancer, retired from the band two years later. She successfully fought the disease and became a cancer survivor.

According to her sisters, Dianne, affectionately known as “Dee Dee,” was always the family’s most organized and responsible sibling. As the older sister of ten siblings, she took on the role of caretaker and protector, always looking after and safeguarding her younger siblings.

In a heartfelt birthday tribute dedicated to Dianne, The Lennon Sisters expressed their deep admiration and affection for their fiercely protective sister, stating:

“Dianne Barbara Lennon Gass, our sister [was] always the most beautiful and so organized and in control. As children, being the oldest, she helped us when we were on tour and traveling.”

Diane married her husband, Richard “Dick” Edward Gass, in 1960, and the couple shares three children. Diane had been very expressive about the fact that she had always wanted to become a wife and mother, and once she became one, she found herself absolutely thrilled.

In a past sit-down interview with OETA, she spoke openly about her life. The singing sensation disclosed the intricate details of her and her husband’s journey to parenthood:

“When we got married, we wanted to have a family right away, and I was told I probably couldn’t have any children, so we adopted darling little Mary. We brought her home at a day and a half, and then nine months and three days later, we had Dee Dee, and 18 months later, we had Tommy. So I had three in 27 months after being told I would never have any.”

After she got married, Diane decided to leave the show The Lennon Sisters were part of. She stated that it was a joint decision between her and her husband because she wanted to spend more time at home.

However, after two years of being off the show, she made her return when her husband’s phone company went on strike. The couple feared their adoption process would be halted due to both becoming unemployed, so after a phone call from Welk Sr., Diane returned for the Saturday shows.

Diane was a true daddy’s girl; she and her father shared a very close relationship throughout his life. Being the eldest with three girls following after her, her father had long wanted a boy in the family. The singing sister quips about how she metaphorically became her dad’s boychild at one point in time:

“Because he had four girls first and wanted a boy, so I was his ‘boy,’ and I used to go play golf with him early in the morning before school when I was six. We went to every UCLA football game, [and] Rams’ football game; I was his boy, and I really enjoyed that.”

The eldest Lennon sister has led a remarkably accomplished and successful life. In addition to her exceptional singing talent, she has pursued a career as a kindergarten teacher, a profession she adores due to her love for children.

Furthermore, she finds immense joy in being a devoted grandmother to her grown children’s offspring. While she has already achieved most, if not all, of her dreams, she harbors a future aspiration of owning a quaint bookstore.

Her dream of owning a bookstore stems from her love of teaching and reading. She explained how she envisions this plan coming to fruition:

“In the very back of my mind, someday, I would like to open a little bookshop with a bakery upstairs or something. And I’d like to have people come by and read old books, and I’d like to bake the things, and I don’t know, just visit with people. That would be way in the back of my mind someday.”

Diane is currently in retirement, savoring the love and companionship of her children, grandchildren, and husband. The bond between the sisters remains unbreakable, as they are best friends with hearts of gold, placing family as their top priority.

Even after their debut on Welk’s show, the iconic music group continues to perform to date, delighting audiences in the cities they frequently visit.

Matt Damon Married a Barmaid with a Little Daughter

How Barroso and Damon’s love story began is truly a testament to the power of fate, with Damon having been at the right place and time when he met the love of his life. While speaking with Ellen DeGeneres during a sit-down interview on her show, Damon shared how he met his wife.

“The Martian” star had been filming a Farrelly brothers movie in 2002. It was originally set to be filmed in Hawaii but it was changed to Miami, where Barroso had been living and working as a bartender at the time.

One night, after filming wrapped for the day, the production crew convinced a hesitant Damon to join them at a bar to hang out, and they ended up at the very bar Barroso was working at. Damon recalled spotting Barroso immediately from across the crowded room, and the rest was history.

Describing his fatherhood, the “Bourne Identity” actor likened the experience to the final scene of “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,” when the Grinch’s heart grew five times its original size.

Barroso’s account of the couple’s initial encounter was more detailed. She disclosed to Vogue Australia that when Damon had spotted her across the crowded room, he said he had seen a light on her, to which she quipped that because it was a nightclub, there were already lights everywhere.

As the night progressed, Damon found himself being hounded by people asking for autographs and pictures so he went to hide behind Barroso’s bar. While attempting to chat her up, Barroso decided to put him to work, and Damon, who learned some bartending skills from a previous role, was up to the task. Barosso recalled:

“We definitely had a connection right away; it was so easy to talk to each other, we were very comfortable, and by the end of the night, he invited me to go out with his friends. But I was like, ‘I can’t; I have a four-year-old daughter, I’m not going anywhere.’ He said, ‘I love that you’re a mum, and that’s your priority.’ “

Barroso went on to say that she was never hung up on the fact that Damon was a big movie star and simply fell in love with him for who he was. Their connection was established outside of the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, which Barroso was never interested in, as confirmed by many sources, including producer Jerry Weintraub, who has worked with Damon in the past.

After dating for two years, the couple wed on a Friday morning in 2005. The ceremony was held privately in Manhattan. Alexia, Barroso’s daughter, was seven then and was present for the occasion. Damon’s friend Marc McGovern confirmed that the match was well-suited and that Damon enjoyed becoming a stepfather to Alexia.

Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso Raise Four Girls Now

Since marrying in 2005, the happy couple welcomed three more girls, Gia, Isabella, and Stella, in addition to Damon’s bonus daughter, Alexia. As reported by Vogue Australia, their parenting style is grounded in teaching their girls to be compassionate and to feel empowered. Being the only man in his home, Damon found himself immersed in a full-scale learning experience:

“I never expected to be surrounded by girls, but it’s great… I’m learning so much, not the least of which is how much smarter girls are. I operated under the assumption that us guys had a chance, but I realized when I was completely wrapped around my 2-year-old’s finger, and she knew it.”

Describing his fatherhood, the “Bourne Identity” actor likened the experience to the final scene of “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,” when the Grinch’s heart grew five times its original size. It’s as if everything had expanded in a way that was previously unfathomable to him. Damon added:

“I jumped into the deep end with Lucy. I mean, Alexia was already 4. I was an extra dad… Everything is full; it’s just full all the time.”

The actor admitted to having been slightly fearful of baby bodily fluids that typically appear when changing diapers but said the fear disappeared once his kids arrived. As for what his very private family life looks like, Damon gave Parade a bit of an inside scoop into what the average day for him as a dad was like— picking up his kids from school and then heading to the park.

Damon has kept a low profile when it comes to his family life and has managed to keep the spotlight away. He believes this is due to the fact that his marriage and fatherhood do not leave anything for the paparazzi to be desired. It’s free of scandal.

Now, after some time, it has been said that Freeman contracted a “contagious infection” before he was due to leave for the press tour, and it prevented him from traveling with his costars for the tour.

    What Happened to Morgan Freeman?

After he was notably absent from the interviews in the UK, a representative for Freeman said that he had a fever, and the doctor told him he had a contagious infection and shouldn’t travel.

Freeman canceled his trip to get better and didn’t affect anybody else. However, his rep said that he was okay now. In the meantime, fans have been praying for the actor, saying how great an actor he is and sending all their love his way.

Although Freeman is okay now, Saldana and Kidman had to complete the tour and give interviews independently, as Freeman could not meet them for the remainder of their press tours.

Aside from the infection he was battling, Freeman has also struggled with fibromyalgia for much of his life. Fans thanked him for bringing awareness to the disease.

The tour that Freeman was unable to participate in is a spy thriller that was inspired by a real-life CIA program. The thriller follows the life of a woman named Joe, played by Zoe Saldana.

The screenplay was written by Taylor Sheridan, making the show highly anticipated, as Sheridan is known for his Westerns. Saldana will be playing the lead role, with Kidman and Freeman supporting her.

Freeman is okay now, but he has faced many different health battles during his life and has been vocal about the struggles he has faced throughout the years.

    How Is Freeman’s Health Now?

Freeman is in his late 80s, but he hasn’t let that slow him down. In fact, he has no plans of retiring or stepping away from Hollywood in any way.

While Freeman is still keen to be as active as possible in the entertainment industry, his health has suffered through the years, and he has shared his struggles with his fans many times.

In many of his films, Freeman’s voice is immediately recognizable and can even be considered iconic. However, in interviews, his health has often left him almost silent due to the pain he is suffering.

Freeman was involved in a car accident many years ago, and the injuries left him with fibromyalgia. Initially, Freeman tried to hide the condition with a compression glove, but he has since become vocal about the affliction.

In a 2012 interview, his pain was clear as he continuously winced and grabbed hold of his shoulder as he spoke to the interviewer. The interviewer shared:

“It hurts when he walks, when he sits still, when he rises from his couch, and when he missteps in a damp meadow. More than hurts. It seems a kind of agony, though he never mentions it.”

Freeman called the pain “excruciating” and said he was badly affected in his shoulder and arm. Fibromyalgia is caused by stressful situations, like the car accident Freeman was in.

The disease causes chronic and all-over muscle pain, but the person who is suffering will often be badly affected in one particular area. Freeman suffered the car accident at 71.

The interviewer that talked about the pain Freeman suffered also said he had surgery to repair his tissue damage, but he still has to wear his compression glove in his nearly useless hand so that his blood does not pool in that area.

Freeman was first vocal about his experience with fibromyalgia at the 2010 SAG Awards when he detailed his journey with the disease. While there is no cure for the disease, sufferers are able to have treatments to enhance their lives.

Many celebrities suffer alongside Freeman, including Lady Gaga, Mary McDonough, and Sinéad O’Connor. Talking about how he felt about having the disease, Freeman shared:

“I only get one life, and I will not let fibromyalgia take the joy from living it.”

His fellow celebrities have similar notions, with O’Connor saying the disease is not curable but manageable. Lady Gaga also shared that she did not appreciate when people assumed fibromyalgia was not real.

Gaga shared that fibromyalgia not only involved physical pain, but also anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSd, panic disorder, and trauma. Gaga believes that all of these aspects send the nervous system into overdrive.

While Freeman has been suffering from this condition for over ten years, he has never allowed it to stand in the way of him having a wonderful and successful career.

Instead of succumbing to the disease and leaving Hollywood in his 70s, Freeman remained positive that he could still do everything he did before his diagnosis and still live happily.

Now, Freeman is often seen wearing his compression glove so that blood does not pool in the hand being affected by the fibromyalgia, but other than that and a few winces in interviews, Freeman appears to be in excellent physical health.

  • Surfer Mikala Jones Dead at 44: ‘Life Will Never Be the Same Without You’

Surfing pro Mikala Jones died in a freak surfing accident Sunday morning. He was 44.

The athlete’s daughter, Isabella Jones, broke the news on Instagram Sunday.

According to Surfline, Mikala, who relocated from Hawaii to Indonesia years ago, was surfing along the coast of the Mentawai Islands while staying at the Awera Resort in North Sipora, Indonesia, with his family.

A surfboard fin severed his femoral artery from a 10-centimeter wound inside his left groin, the outlet reported.

Isabella wrote a touching tribute to her father and shared childhood photos of the two together in addition to snapshots of him surfing.

“I’m in so much disbelief right now, this doesn’t feel real,” Isabella began. “I love you so much dad and I wish I could give you one last hug. I wish I could tell you again how much I love you and thank you for being the best dad. I wish you were still here with us, you weren’t supposed to leave yet. This is too soon.”

“I know you are in a good place now with nana vi, and your friends. I wish this never happened and we could just wake up and go surf together tomorrow morning,” she wrote.

Isabella explained of her dad’s death, “I’m not sure how to put this in words, but my dad got into a bad surfing accident and didn’t make it. I’m happy he was doing what he loved the most. Life will never be the same without you.”

“I miss you so much, I would do anything to get one more moment, even if it was us arguing and then laughing our asses off,” she continued. “Thank you for teaching me so many life lessons, and always being there for me. I wish you were still here with us right now. I will always be thinking about you dad ❤️.

  • Jessica Simpson Shows Off Her Glowy Makeup-Free Face for Smiley 43rd Birthday Instagram

Jessica Simpson is stripping it back for her 43rd birthday.

On Monday, the singer and fashion mogul published a new Instagram post celebrating turning 43. Simpson opted for a makeup-free, clean beauty look, joining a slew of other celebrities going back to the basics.

“43 makeup free,” she captioned the photo, in which she wore a quiet crystal necklace and statement hoops.

Of course, the photo wasn’t completely free of cosmetics. In an additional parenthetical, the “I Wanna Love You Forever” singer added, “Kinda. Ha. I did curl my lashes.”

Simpson joined a growing list of celebrities who are taking up the challenge to go makeup free. While vacationing in the Hamptons, singer Jennifer Lopez posted a skincare tutorial, showing off her natural beauty.

“I’m stunting a makeup-free @JLoBeauty glow for the Hamptons 🤩,” Lopez, 53, captioned the video.

Meanwhile, singer Lady Gaga recently took to Instagram to show off some bare-faced selfies. With her wavy blonde hair and glossy lips, Gaga, 37, was casual beauty goals while relaxing in a loose-fit pink sweatshirt.

Even Cardi B has gone makeup-less in an Instagram video. “My hubby said take a video like this,” she said, referring to her husband, rapper Offset. “No makeup, no filter.”

Simpson marked her birthday just days after she spoke with Bustle, about asking her mother for money to help buy back her namesake Jessica Simpson Collection brand.

“In buying the brand back, I told her, if you’re sure you want to do this, you’re just going to have to tighten up your belt a little bit,” Simpson’s mother, Tina Simpson, said of the advice she shared with her daughter. “You’re going to have to not live not quite as extravagantly.”

In that same Bustle interview, Simpson said she was concerned that editing her Instagram photos could have a negative impact on her daughters Birdie Mae, 4, and Maxwell Drew, 11. Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson, are also parents to son Ace Knue, 9.

“What has done that to me? What is that doing to my daughter?” Simpson wondered. “What we’re doing on social media is creating this idea of what is beautiful and setting up our lives artificially — to look good for who?”

Last month, the Open Book author was spotted out on a date night with Johnson, 43, while rocking some ‘90s-inspired looks. While Johnson wore a simple button-down shirt and Boston Red Sox cap, Simpson rocked a form-fitting white minidress with a light caramel jacket featuring delicate black detailing.

  • Tom Holland Calls His Sober Journey ‘The Best Thing I’ve Ever Done’

Tom Holland is getting candid about his hard-won sobriety.

The Spider-Man: Far From Home star, 27, spoke about his decision to give up drinking on Monday’s episode of the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, calling it “the best thing I’ve ever done.”

He shared that his sober journey began with a bit too much indulging during the holiday season last year. “I didn’t one day wake up and say, ‘I’m giving up drinking.’ I just, like many Brits, had had a very, very boozy December. [It was] Christmas time, I was on vacation, I was drinking a lot, and I’ve always been able to drink a lot,” he recalled.

“I think I get my genes from my mom’s side in that thing — I can drink,” he said. “And I decided to just give [it] up for January.”

But dry January proved to be a challenge for the actor. “All I could think about was having a drink. That’s all I could think about,” he admitted. “I was waking up thinking about it. I was checking the clock, when’s it 12 p.m.?”

His intense cravings started to concern him. “It just really scared me. I just was like, ‘Wow, maybe. Maybe I have a little bit of an alcohol thing.’ So I sort of decided to punish myself and say, ‘I’ll do February as well. I’ll do two months off. If I can do two months off, then I can prove to myself that I don’t have a problem.’ “

As he pressed on with his alcohol pause, however, he increasingly felt the pressure of England’s drinking-focused culture. “Two months go by and I was still really struggling. I felt like I couldn’t be social,” Holland continued. “I felt like I couldn’t go to the pub and have a lime soda. I couldn’t go out for dinner. I was really, really struggling and I started to really worry that maybe I had an alcohol problem.”

He said he finally turned a corner as he neared his birthday last month. “I said to myself, ‘If I can do six months without alcohol, then I can prove to myself that I don’t have a problem.’ And by the time I got to June 1, I was the happiest I’ve ever been in my life,” The Crowded Room star explained, listing some of the benefits that abstaining from alcohol brought him.

“I could sleep better. I could handle problems better,” he remembered. “Things that would go wrong on set, that would normally set me off, I could take in my stride. I had such better mental clarity. I felt healthier, I felt fitter.”

He wondered why he didn’t ditch the drinking sooner. “I just sort of said to myself, like, ‘Why? Why am I enslaved to this drink? Why am I so obsessed by the idea of having this drink?’ ” he noted.

His sobriety did force the avid sports fan to give up a beloved pastime: watching rugby. “I just felt so much pressure, and this is one of the [reasons] why I’ve sort of distanced myself from the rugby community ’cause so much of it is about how much can you drink. Let’s get you as drunk as possible,” he explained, before quickly adding that he has no regrets. “It’s honestly been the best thing I’ve ever done.”

His decision to quit drinking also had another positive ripple effect; inspiring his mom to go sober herself after watching her son thrive without alcohol.

“She’s loving it, and it’s been amazing,” he said. “I can’t believe the difference that I feel from not drinking. Yeah, I feel amazing.”

Through it all, Holland has had his girlfriend, actress Zendaya, by his side. On the July 3 episode of the Wondery podcast Smartless, hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Holland said he’s “lucky I have someone like Zendaya in my life.”

He added, “It’s interesting being in a romantic relationship with someone that is in the same boat as you. You can share your experiences and all that sort of stuff — and that’s worth its weight in gold.”

In a BuzzFeed interview last month, Holland joked about not having “rizz” — or charisma — and having no use for it now that he’s happy in his relationship with the Euphoria star, 26.

“I’m happy and in love, so I’ve got no need for rizz,” he said.

The Crowded Room actor added, “I have no rizz whatsoever; I have limited rizz.” Addressing the “secret” to his supposed rizz, he said, “I need you to fall in love with me, really, for it to work.”

“So, long game,” he joked. “Probably making a movie with each other — it definitely helps when the characters are falling in love with one another; you can sort of blur the lines a little bit.”

  • All of Taylor Swift’s ‘I Can See You’ Music Video Easter Eggs

Taylor Swift’s new music video for “I Can See You” is filled with Easter eggs that could hint at her next rerecording.

On July 7, the singer released her anticipated album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) — a rerecorded version of her 2010 release — including six new never-before-heard vault tracks.

During her Eras Tour, Swift kept the surprises coming as she announced that she was debuting a brand-new music video for one of those vault tracks, “I Can See You,” with the help of three people from her Speak Now era.

The singer was joined on the stage by Joey King and Presley Cash, who previously starred in her “Mean” music video, and Taylor Lautner, who inspired Speak Now‘s “Back to December.”

Swift said of her ex before introducing him onstage, “He was a very positive force in my life when I was making the Speak Now album, and I want to say he did every single stunt that you saw in that music video. He and his wife have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all share the same first name.”

Filmed in Liverpool in April, the music video features King, Cash and Lautner as they pull off a heist to break out “Speak Now Taylor” from the vault.

“I wrote this video treatment over a year ago and really wanted to play out symbolically how it’s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music,” Swift said about the music video on Instagram.

Not only does the music video feature countless nods to her Speak Now era, but it also includes some Easter eggs that seem to point at her 1989 era, which have fans speculating about what could be coming next.

Here’s a complete rundown of all the Easter eggs in the music video.

    “Last Kiss” lyric reference

The beginning of the music video is dated July 9 at 1:58, which are lyrics found in the song “Last Kiss” on her Speak Now album.

    “Electric Touch” lyric reference

As King types a passcode, she receives a shock via a flash of purple light. Fans think this could be a reference to another Speak Now vault song, “Electric Touch,” which features Fall Out Boy.

“Long Live” lyric on her arm

TAYLOR SWIFT – I CAN SEE YOU

When we first see Swift, she’s wearing her iconic gold fringe dress from her Speak Now tour. In another nod to the era, she also has lyrics from “Long Live” (a song she wrote for her fans) written on her arm: “I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you.”

    Undercover mission

Taylor Swift I Can See You easter eggs
TAYLOR SWIFT – I CAN SEE YOU

King dodging purple lasers to enter the vault has fans drawing parallels to the opening of the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival, where Swift had to do something similar to make her way to stage. Seeing as this was during Swift’s 1989 era, Swifties think this could be an Easter egg that her fifth album is her next rerecording.

    13 on her hand

In addition to donning her Speak Now Tour outfit, Swift also has her lucky number 13 painted on her hand, a hallmark of her tour days at that time.

    Her past frozen behind glass

As the museum lights up, King and Lautner notice that the entire building is filled with costumes from Swift’s Speak Now era. The glass cases seem to be a reference to Swift’s Evermore song “It’s Time to Go” in which she sings about her original recordings being sold to Scooter Braun’s company: “He’s got my past frozen behind glass / But I’ve got me.”

Counting down the days until Speak Now’s release

In the room Swift is in, we see tallies written all over the wall, seemingly making reference to how Swift was counting down the days until she could reclaim her work by releasing Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).

Joey King’s “Mean” music video outfit

In addition to featuring Swift’s Speak Now outfits, one of the glass cases also includes the outfit King wore in the “Mean” music video. Beside it, we see a throwback photo of Swift and King when they were younger, which makes the Kissing Booth actress emotional.

    The vault

Later in the video, it becomes clear that “Speak Now Taylor” is actually locked inside a vault. Not only is this a reference to Swift’s “vault tracks” but fans have also noted that Swift used similar imagery in her “Look What You Made Me Do” music video from her Reputation album.

    Five security guards

Taylor Swift I Can See You easter eggs
TAYLOR SWIFT – I CAN SEE YOU

As King and Lautner roam around the museum, they’re met by five different security guards, which fans think could be a reference to Swift’s fifth album, 1989. The fight scene also draws a lot of parallels to Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, which was also from that album.

Fans have taken note that King’s weapon of choice during the fight scene was fittingly the banjo Swift used to play during her “Mean” performance during her Speak Now Tour.

Lautner’s fight sequence is almost exactly the same as the fight sequence during his Saturday Night Live monologue in which he talked about how he should have defended Swift when Kanye West infamously stormed the stage at the MTV VMAs.

Fittingly, his big fight sequence occurs in front of the blue dress Swift wore and the piano she played during “Back to December,” a song penned about Lautner, during the Speak Now Tour.

    Purple lights

Throughout the music video, there are various purple lights, seemingly a reference to Swift’s Speak Now album, which has been associated with the color over the years. In particular, when Lautner breaks Swift out of the vault, he uses three purple explosives, a reference to Speak Now being Swift’s third album.

While most of the music video features purple lighting, a color associated with Speak Now, fans have pointed out that the lights immediately change as soon as Swift is broken out of the vault, switching to a greenish-blue hue reminiscent of her 1989 album. Could this indicate that Swift is about to break 1989 (Taylor’s Version) out of the vault next?

After Swift successfully takes back Speak Now, she looks back at the museum collapsing behind her, which fans have interpreted as Swift being emotional about leaving behind her original Speak Now album in an effort to reclaim her work.

Swift seemingly confirmed this theory as she liked a fan tweet about the scene, which reads: “her face watching everything blow up makes me so sad it’s like she knows she’s reclaiming her work to be her own but she’s also giving away the original 💔 i’m so glad she stole speak now tho ITS WHAT WE DESERVED.”

The music video ends with Swift, Lautner, King and Cash hopping into a van and driving away. As they head down the street, right above them is a sign that reads “1989 TV,” insinuating that Swift is set to release her version of 1989 next. Swift previously teased the order of her remaining three rerecordings during her “Karma” music video as she included Easter eggs for 1989Reputation and her debut album in a clockwise order.

  • Diane Keaton Called ‘Ugly’ & ‘Fat’ after Accepting Gray Hair & Body — She Finds Joy in Being a Mom of 2 in Farmhouse

    • Academy Award-winning actress Diane Keaton is best known for being one of Hollywood’s most accomplished “It” girls but has been criticized for her looks.
    • Regardless of the negative backlash the star has received, Keaton continues to hold herself in high regard, accepting herself for who she is.
    • She now lives comfortably in a luxury farmhouse with her two children.

Diane Keaton, originally born Diane Hall, comes from Los Angeles, California. Her father, John Newton Ignatius “Jack” Hall, was a civil engineer and real estate broker, and her mother, Dorothy Deanne Keaton, was a fledgling photographer. After completing her studies in the field of Drama, the Hollywood actress went on to accumulate star power and numerous accolades.

Keaton has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. She is easily one of the most successful and accomplished actresses in Hollywood. Four of her films, where she played the leading lady, have been chosen by the Library of Congress for the National Film Registry in light of their cultural, historical, and aesthetic significance that has shifted and influenced entertainment and pop culture.

The Hollywood icon has a plethora of noteworthy works. However, she is best known for her epic character portrayals in movies such as “The Godfather: Part II,” “Annie Hall,” “The First Wives Club,” “Love and Death,” “Play It Again, Sam,” “Father of the Bride,” “Sleeper,” and “Something’s Gotta Give.” She has also worked with the legendary likes of American filmmaker Woody Allen on many projects.

Keaton has received an immense amount of accreditation and awards throughout her career. Some of the most significant include her Academy Award win for Best Actress for the movie “Annie Hall” in 1977, her BAFTA nomination for “Manhattan,” and her Golden Globe nomination for “Looking for Mr. Goodbar,” to name a few.

Besides her illustrious career, Keaton is known for her brief romantic flings with fellow renowned stars. Though the beautiful actress has been tied to several accomplished men in the industry, she has made it clear that she does not see herself making a resurgence in the dating scene:

“I don’t date, [it’s] highly unlikely. I don’t remember anyone calling me, going, ‘This is so-and-so – I’d like to take you out.’ They don’t happen, of course not.”

Despite her non-marital status, the “Book Club” talent has been involved in a few public romantic relationships. Her off-and-on relationship with film legend Al Pacino through the late ’70s and early ’90s and her brief relationship with Allen and then Warren Beatty are most notable.

In an exclusive interview with Variety in 2016, Keaton discussed everything related to the release of her then-new movie “Rules Don’t Apply,” with Beatty as her dashing co-star. Keaton was asked about traits that she thinks make Beatty stand out from the rest and she candidly retorted:

“The first time I saw Warren was in ‘Splendor in the Grass’ [and] I mean, come on! He was to die for; a dream. I mean, ‘Bonnie and Clyde’? Come on, and not only was he beautiful, gorgeous, sexy and captivating, and mysterious and a great movie star, but he was also an unbelievable producer and director.”

In 2003, Keaton and iconic actor Keanu Reeves collaborated as co-stars in “Something’s Gotta Give.” The actors played a couple in the movie, and their on-screen chemistry left fans wondering if there was ever an official off-screen romantic exploration between them. Reeves and Keaton allegedly only started dating two years after the movie’s release in 2005.

Reportedly, Reeves had dumped his former girlfriend, Lynn Collins, in order to pursue Keaton. Though Keaton and Reeves never formally confirmed their relationship, in a 2006 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Keaton jokingly exclaimed about Reeves:

“I’m going to marry him. He likes an older woman.”

When it comes to Keaton’s reputation as a beloved and iconic actress in Hollywood, her stardom shines bright. Her charming personality makes her popular in several social circles. However, she is not free of critics. The actress has also been on the receiving end of body shaming. Back in 2014, following her appearance at the Golden Globes, a tweet surfaced that read:

“Wow. Diane Keaton got fat. #GoldenGlobes.”

Worse, the Hollywood actress has been criticized for allegedly not being a kind person. One other critic expressed their opinion on Keaton’s reportedly “ugly” personality, writing in 2022:

“Well, Diane Keaton isn’t nice. She[‘s] ugly inside and out!”

Diane Keaton Accepts Herself at 77

Keaton has come a long way from who she used to be before the pinnacle of her career and her incredibly fast-tracked rise to international fame.

In a 2014 interview with Dr. Oz, the “Maybe I Do” star revealed that she had bulimia in her twenties. According to the actress, she used to binge 20,000 calories a day. For her, a typical meal at dinner would consist of numerous bouts of fries with blue cheese dip and ketchup, a whole bucket of fried chicken, a few TV dinners, a massive amount of soda, cake, dozens of pieces of candy, and three banana cream pies in one sitting.

Keaton may be used to a life of glitz, glam, and lavish events, but her down-to-earth farmhouse-style mansion reflects her true affinity for a life rooted in nature…

Even while maintaining her slender and petite figure, for which she is widely known, Keaton would feel like she was obese. The star spoke about how she felt at the time while grappling with her diagnosis:

“It was horrible [and] it was, of course, the lowest point in my life… I was a fat person. I was an obese person who had somehow tricked myself and managed to hide it. I’m an addict in recovery, [and] I’ll always be an addict [because] I have an addictive nature to me.”

Though Keaton has overcome her battle with her eating disorder, the star claims she has simply filled that void with a new obsession—being super focused on work and raising her children, even though they are in their 20s.

Now that Keaton is 77 years old, the star has expressed how much she intends to allow herself to be comfortable with aging naturally.

At the 2014 Golden Globes, her gray hair was on full display and became the main topic of discussion. Fans of the star absolutely loved how she embraced her graceful aging and even prompted blog posts about how to achieve Keaton’s silver mane.

Keaton is an advocate for women embracing the natural changes that come with getting older and, in fact, encourages them. The “Baby Boom” talent announced that while she sees nothing wrong with women getting cosmetic procedures done, she intends to expose the physical changes of aging fully:

“I don’t see anything wrong with face-lifts or Botox or fillers. They just erase the hidden battle scars. I intend to wear mine, sort of.”

As the “Mack & Rita” film star gets older, she finds herself more and more attuned to self-introspection. Keaton disclosed how she frequently contemplates the longevity of her lifespan in quiet moments alone at her home:

“How long do you live? It’s [vital] what those years are like. A lot of people get sick, a lot of people don’t make it [and] it’s harder to reach out as you get older [because] I think that people don’t really consort with older people as much, or embrace them because it’s a different time of life.”

Diane Keaton Finds Joy in Her Quiet Life

Apart from being a superstar and world-renowned actress, Keaton is also a single mother of two. The actress has one daughter, Dexter Keaton White, 27, and a son, Duke Keaton, 23. She adopted both children when she was in her 50s.

According to Keaton, motherhood was a feat she never thought she would necessarily be ready for. Reflecting on her decision to become a mother when she did, she said :

“I didn’t think that I was ever going to be prepared to be a mother. Motherhood was not an urge I couldn’t resist, [and] it was more like a thought I’d been thinking for a very long time. So I plunged in.”

Keaton’s kids have done their best to keep their private lives away from the spotlight, and as far as careers go, both have chosen not to follow in their mother’s footsteps. And this is something that Mama Keaton prefers:

“They have no interest in what I do, which I think is very healthy. We live a relatively normal life—well, sort of normal—life.”

Though both kids make an active effort to lead private lives, they always make sure to support their mother. In a rare public appearance, they stepped out to show their mother some love at her Hand and Footprint Ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in 2022.

Keaton may be used to a life of glitz, glam, and lavish events, but her down-to-earth farmhouse-style mansion reflects her true affinity for a life rooted in nature and essentialism while still maintaining a tinge of class and luxury. Apparently, Keaton’s home was Pinterest-inspired, as the star reportedly has “an obsession” with Pinterest.

Her beautiful country-esque abode boasts sprawling spaces and was built in approximately three and a half years. Many may not know that Keaton has a knack for architecture and design, and she has a wealth of experience flipping houses.

Keaton had a particular penchant for Spanish Colonial Revival refurbishments when turning over houses in the past. But when it came to building her own home, she started collecting inspiration from various blogs and magazines, and in the process, discovered Pinterest. In her book, “The House that Pinterest Built,” Keaton wrote:

“With Pinterest as my muse, the fantasy of a dream home took off. Pinterest is a place where wordless juxtapositions are the perfect format for collecting and editing those dreams.”

After drafting a series of Pinterest mood boards for her home, Keaton handed the concepts over to architect David Takacs and designer and friend Stephen Shadley. The house was built in Sullivan Canyon in the middle of west Los Angeles and boasts 2,500 square meters.

The walled-in compound is earth and water-resistant, and fireproof. The incredible mansion’s exterior, foundation, outdoor area, and chimney are made entirely from 75,000 handpicked clay bricks.

Growing up as a little girl at age 5, Keaton expressed how she always knew that she was destined to live in a brick house, having been inspired by the “Three Little Pigs” storybook. At first, the star had the idea of layering a coat of paint over the bricks, but after being enchanted with its rustic-chic appearance, she decided to leave the house as is.

In the heart of the home, aka the kitchen, Keaton’s luxurious abode is kitted out with all custom-made furnishings. The massive kitchen island has chicken wire cabinetry and overhead pendant lights made from repurposed material. Up on the ceiling are several huge windows giving way to an influx of natural light.

Keaton’s home is full of niche old-fashioned but modern elements and objects which add to the stunning mansion’s industrial charm and character. With an array of beautifully framed windows and classic French doors, all the communal spaces in the house have more than enough space and exposure to the outside world.

Keaton’s home is full of history and meaning. Every aesthetic and architectural choice has a story behind it.

Despite the occasional hateful comment that tends to make its way to the star now and again, Keaton refuses to buy into the negativity. The “Looking for Mr. Goodbar” star embraces her graceful aging, still lives life to the fullest in her big, beautiful farmhouse-inspired home, and continues to work on upcoming industry productions.
